Online Tells
Playing on the internet is different from playing live. Perhaps
the biggest difference is in the area of tells. In a live game,
you can watch a player's face, how they put in their chips, or have
them count down their all in bet. Online, you cannot do this. But,
there are other tells to watch for.
Generally speaking, your opponents will often try to appear strong
with a weak hand, and conversely, act weak when they have flopped
the top hand. However, on the internet, most tells relate to the
speed at which an opponent bets.
For example, a delay and then a check usually indicates weakness.
Most online games allow you to bet instantaneously(ie: raise any).
This is usually a sign of strength.
Texas Hold Em sounds very simple, however, it takes a lot of time
at the table to pick up the nuances of the game. This site was created
to help the average player improve their game. We'll help you with
which starting hands to play,
and how to bet. We'll show you how position
impacts your starting hand selection, how to calculate
pot odds, and wheter to call, raise, or fold. We'll help you
determine your poker strategy.
One that you will use to make more money. We'll even identify
trap hands, which look good, but usually cost you big money.
So... shuffle up and deal!
